Day 1: Home - Tamworth (LD) Our coach will depart Strathfield, Hornsby, the Central Coast and the Hunter before making our way north along the New England Highway. We tour one of the Upper Hunter horse studs, a good opportunity to discuss and learn more about the thoroughbred racing industry. A photo stop at the Mare and Foal Park at Scone, the horse capital of Australia. From here it is through to Tamworth for our 3 nights stay and our first country race meeting.  Tamworth Towers 02 6765 8361 (3 nights)  
 
Day 2: Tamworth Stables (BLD) Enjoy some free time today to explore this vibrant country town. This afternoon, visit The Australian Light Horse Memorial in Bicentennial Park, a bronze sculpture created by nationally renowned artist Tanya Bartlett, paying homage to the Waler horse’s important role in the Great War. The Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre is playing host to the National Cutting Horse Association of Australia National Finals and Snafflebit Futurity today. You are able to visit the site stables and take a seat to view this exciting event as elite horse and riders display their livestock cutting skills.    
 
Day 3: Tamworth Race Day (BD) Today we make our way to our second country race meeting. Complete with manicured lawns, rose gardens and historic grandstand, the Tamworth Jockey Club provides the perfect backdrop for a great day out. Try your luck at picking a winner again today and after the last race we will return to the hotel.  
 
Day 4: Tamworth - Dubbo (BLD) To Coonabarabran today for a tour of Siding Springs Observatory, an informative morning aaccompanied by clean crisp views to a large proportion of NSW and the Warrumbungles. The windmill town of Gilgandra is a great stop with time to learn of and photograph the many windmills that line the Castlereagh River. Later in the afternoon we arrive at the hub of the west Dubbo. Day 5: Wellington Boot Race Day (BD) Today is one of the biggest country race meetings in Australia at the Wellington Race Club with its world famous marquee race – the Wellington Boot. This race is for two year olds and over the years mainly due to its name has begun to attract interest from all parts of the globe. Once again your admission and program are included in your package. After enjoying the day at the races we make the short return drive back to Dubbo in the afternoon.  Day 6: Dubbo - Home (BL) With autumn approaching the deciduous trees that cover the city will be starting to show colour and this morning we will view the array of colours as we make our way to Mudgee. Our first stop will be Gooree Park, one of the top Thoroughbred studs in Australia, for a tour of the stables. The Cudgegong River traverses through the irrigated property while the undulating hill country complements the rich alluvial flats providing an ideal environment for the production of high class racehorses. These stables have produced many winners over the years including Don Eduardo, Snowland, Tempest Morn and the studs ‘Warhorse’ Desert War. Not only do they produce winners but also great wines and we will have the opportunity to sample. This afternoon we leave Dubbo and make our way home via Strathfield, Hornsby, the Central Coast and the Hunter.

This tour is especially designed for you to add onto the end of the Kimberley Magic - Broome to Darwin Tour number 10548. Day 1 Tiwi Island (BL) Don’t forget to pack your swimmers in a light carry bag this morning as you fly to beautiful Bathurst Island, one of the two islands that are the Tiwi Islands, 80km north of Darwin in the Arafura Sea. This is a unique opportunity to experience a modern day Aboriginal community and learn about the history and culture of the Tiwi people. Our local guide will meet us with a visit to the museum, visit the arts and crafts centre and be entertained by totem dancing, learn about the Pukamini Poles (burial poles), bush tucker and medicine.
