Award Winning Experienced Family Business
We are an award winning family business and before our move to Maitland we
operated a coach and tour package business from our motel on the New England
Tablelands. With over a decade of extensive experience in all areas of the coach
and motel business behind us, we can ensure that your holiday is an enjoyable
and memorable experience.
Our Luxury Cruisers
Our modern 47 seat coaches are all equipped with seatbelts for your added
safety. Panoramic windows, a seat rotation system, extra leg room, reclining
seats with lumbar support and climate control heating and airconditioning are
all standard features on our coaches. For your enjoyment we have also provided a
TV, DVD, video & sound system.
Having a chef on board, we introduced the concept of cool rooms in coaches, and
pie warmers. With hot and cold water on tap, those road side cuppas are even
more tempting.
Licensed Travel Agency 2TA5150
As a licensed travel agency, we are financial members of the Travel Compensation
Fund, which assesses all members for financial management and security. You can
book your trip with us knowing your money is secure. Look for our number:
2TA5150.
Accommodation on Tour
Our standard is 3.5-4 star with ground floor units. As a family business, we
care about the treatment of our guests. If a motel doesn't measure up, we simply
don't go back. The sooner we hear about your concerns the sooner we can do
something to fix them up.
Travelling on tour
We aim to travel no more than two hours between stops, with less travel
scheduled in the afternoons, and a 4.30pm check in on most days to allow you
time to settle in before dinner.
Northern Highland Travel Club
When you enquire about or book on one of our tours, you automatically become a
member of the Northern Highland Travel Club. This gives you access to our
Discount Vouchers, and all sorts of special offers, including discounted show
tickets, special one-off tours and of course, we keep you up to date with all
that is happening in the family. If you do not wish to receive further mail or
contact from our company, please call us FREECALL 1800 623 068 or write to us
holiday@nht.com.au or PO Box 222
THORNTON NSW 2322
Discount Vouchers
When you travel with us, at the end of your trip we will give you a Discount
Voucher. These can be used on any tour over $400 if you book directly with us,
using our FREECALL phone number. Only one voucher may be used per person
per tour. There is no use by date on these vouchers. They are not available on
tours paid by Credit Card. The vouchers are worth $30 on tours over $400 or $50
on tours over $1000.
Vouchers cannot be used if you are paying your final balance by credit card.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance, both to protect you against the costs of
cancellation before a tour departs, and during the tour. Medicare only applies
in Australia, and will not cover you in Norfolk Island, nor does it cover lost
or stolen luggage or the cost of flying you or your partner home if you have to
leave a tour, or arranging your travel. Even if you are healthy, accidents can
and do happen, and can be very costly to you if you are not insured against
them.
Please remember that travel insurance in Australia does not cover any medical or
ambulance expenses. Please see a health insurer if you require this type of
insurance.
Deposits
We require $200 per person on domestic tours for a deposit within 7 days to
confirm your bookings. In some cases we will require a larger deposit to cover
the cost of flights or other fares, and we will advise you of this when you make
your reservation or as the need arises. No booking can be confirmed without a
deposit. International tours have different deposits required - please read the
special conditions for international tours at the end of this section.
The balance is generally due 60 days prior(domestic) or 90 days prior
(international) to departure and we will give you a reminder letter two weeks in
advance to remind you of this. We accept cash, cheques, money orders,
EFTPOS or credit cards (Mastercard or Visa) for any payments, however our
discount vouchers cannot be used with any credit card/EFTPOS payment of final
balance. (Although you can pay your deposit this way and still use your
voucher).
Fares include
Air conditioned coach travel, quality twin or double motel accommodation, all
entrance fees and meals as stated in the itinerary per person on a twin share
basis (ppts). A single supplement applies for all passengers with sole use of
motel accommodation and is indicated by “s/s” after the price on the itinerary.
It does not guarantee sole seating on the coach.
Any increases in flight prices,
fuel surcharges, entry fees or any other price rises made by our suppliers, will
be passed onto passengers.
Baggage
All baggage is entirely at owner™s risk. We recommend taking travel insurance
to insure yourself against any loss. Please ask us for more details.
Alteration of Itinerary
We reserve the right to alter itineraries without notice due to availability,
weather, road conditions, or any other reason we perceive to be in the best
interests of our guests. Heavy rain, particularly where travel on unsealed roads
is involved, may cause alterations in accommodation and availability of
sightseeing. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays,
cancellations, or alterations will be the sole responsibility of the passenger.
This is why we recommend travel insurance.
Seating and Seat Rotation
Seating is rotated in a random order at the direction of the coach driver to
ensure all guests enjoy a variety of seating.
No smoking
Government regulations prohibit smoking inside coaches. Frequent stops en route
provide an opportunity for those who wish to smoke to do so.
No food/drink to be consumed on coach
In the interests of keeping our coach clean and hygienic, please do not drink
(other than water) or eat food on our coach. With frequent stops, and homemade
morning teas—there is no need for extra rations! Please see us
with any special dietry needs.
Cancellation Policy
We strongly recommend you to take out travel insurance to protect your
investment in your holiday. Cancellation fees will be levied if you have to
cancel your booking with us. The following fees below will apply, in addition to
any monies already paid on your behalf to our suppliers. Bookings on our tours
can be transferred to another person if you cannot go, however some suppliers
may charge a transfer fee. Please note that where we are charged a transfer or
