Carnarvon Gorge Flooding will not Affect Longreach Tours

2 March 2007

Carnarvon Gorge has experienced Flash Flooding in the last week, however this will not affect the tour departing in June with Northern Highland Travel.

The flash flooding has moved many of the creek crossings and tracks from the area, however they are planning to have some of the closer walking tracks remade by May. This means by the time our June tour departs, the tracks we use in the tour should definitely be completed.

Unfortunately the tracks will not be ready for our Carnarvon Gorge Bushwalking Tour which departs in May and is a much more extensive walking tour - up to 10km into the Gorge. We hope to run this tour again in 2008.
