Northern Highland Travel joins Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC)
14 March 2008
Award winning National Tour Operator Northern Highland Travel was announced as a member of ATEC at its board meeting on Monday 11th March 2008.
ATEC or the Australian Tourism Export Council is the peak body and largest membership-based organisation representing Australia's tourism export sector. ATEC's 1150 plus members come from across the country and across the industry – including inbound tour operators, tourism product suppliers and service providers. The members of ATEC have one major thing in common – a commitment to growing Australia's international tourism market.
Northern Highland Travel is a boutique coach company. They have won many awards for their excellent tours over the last decade, including being inducted into the NSW Tourism Hall of Fame after three consecutive wins.
The company is the first national coach tour operator in Australia to carbon offset all tours, included within the tour price, so passengers can take advantage of the environmentally friendly benefits of coach travel, knowing their carbon usage is automatically offset.
The company operates day trips within a day’s travel of Sydney, and extended tours to destinations all over Australia including Tasmania, the Northern Territory, Western Australia and the Kimberley, Cairns and Outback Queensland, Canberra, and Kangaroo Island.
In addition to these destinations, the company undertakes bushwalking tours, and tours of Australia’s premium food and wine regions in all States and Territories.
The company specialises in Group Travel, either for sole use, or small groups and free and independent travellers who would like to join organised tours. They are also an Accredited Rail Specialist for Great Southern Rail, organising group and independent tour package on the Ghan, the Indian Pacific and the new Overlander services.
