Toowoomba Carnival seeds now being sown

Preparations have already begun to ensure this year’s Carnival of Flowers is ready to bloom in spring.

The 2008 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will be held from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 28 and is set to be bigger and brighter than ever with a tantalising array of family fun, horticulture, food and entertainment.

The Grand Central Floral Parade will march its way through the city on Saturday, September 20, showcasing all the colour of the Carnival to thousands of residents and visitors who will flock to the streets for this vibrant event.

The Ergon Energy Flower, Food and Wine Festival will again bring Queens Park to life with a fantastic line-up of international cuisine, the Heritage Live! concert series, art and stunning floral displays from September 19-21.

Many popular events will return, including Pictures in the Park, Twilight Tours, Shutterbug Tales photographic competition and sideshow alley. Stay tuned as more events and exciting new additions are announced on the Carnival website at www.carnivalofflowers.com.au!
